Health & Fitness

The intent is not to turn the shed into a restaurant or gym, but to promote health and fitness among our members commensurate with member’s needs and interests.


Some of our ideas – you may have more:

Healthy cooking

A simple cooking/baking demonstration at the Shed and/or a BBQ would be a good socialising/lunch session. 

Walking or cycling

Easy, short walks or cycle with designated leaders along railway line.

Exercise in general

Chair-based exercises/meditation sessions or contact our local Sport Aberdeen group who offer a variety of exercises classes suitable for older people.


Engage with Signposting, a brilliant resource that is trying to help tackle loneliness/isolation and the potential health (especially mental) issues that accompany it.
