Woodworking

The Woodworking Group meets on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

We are also pleased to have a woodturning tutor, Mon Sangra, who runs tutorial sessions twice a week.

Our workshop includes the following equipment:

• Bandsaw
• Circular saw
• Planing machine
• Chopsaw
• Vertical drill
• Various power tools and hand tools

The Woodworking group carry out a wide variety of activities, including:

• Repairs of indoor furniture
• Repairs and refurbishment of outdoor benches and tables
• Making new items
• Making ‘Snowmen’ from old pallets, a favourite for the festive season
